We are honored to announce the official appointment of Sajjada Nashin Va Mutawally Mohammad Mushtaque Ahmed Mohammad Ali Shah as the new Mutawalli of the Masjid e Mehtab Ali Shah complex. The appointment was formally approved by the Maharashtra State Waqf Board, continuing a legacy of hereditary stewardship rooted in the institution's founding.

A Mutawalli is the official caretaker or trustee of a Waqf (an Islamic endowment of property), responsible for its administration. This sacred role ensures that the institution's assets, originally endowed in October 1880 under the historic deed Muntaqab No. 25624, are used for their intended charitable and religious purposes.

Mr. Ahmed brings a deep commitment to preserving this rich heritage and has pledged to work closely with the community and government officials. His primary focus will be on addressing the long-standing issue of illegal encroachment on the Masjid's endowed land.

"I am humbled by this responsibility and am dedicated to upholding the values and traditions of this sacred institution for future generations," said Mr. Ahmed.

The community has expressed strong support for his appointment and is optimistic about the future of the complex under his leadership. His vision includes not only protecting the Waqf property but also enhancing the community services we offer. We look forward to a new chapter of growth, preservation, and community service.
